China’s new energy power generation development trend

After introducing the development status of China’s new energy power generation industry, the next article will discuss its development trend.

1. Wind power has entered a period of serious rectification

After rapid development in the early stage, China’s installed wind power capacity has reached a relatively large number. However, there has also been a more serious “wind abandonment” problem. In order to change this situation, the National Energy Administration and the National Electricity Regulatory Commission have issued policy documents such as the “Notice on Strengthening the Relevant Requirements for Wind Power Grid Connection and Consumption”, and the “Opinions on Strengthening Wind Power Safety Work” to address these issues. It is estimated that the growth rate of wind power installed capacity in China will slow down and the industry will enter a period of comprehensive consolidation.

2. Photovoltaic installed capacity will maintain a high-speed trend

China’s photovoltaic manufacturing industry ranks first in the world for many years, but with the outbreak of the European debt crisis, the original photovoltaic cell importing countries such as Germany and Italy are reducing photovoltaic power generation subsidies, and at the same time, it is affected by the US’s “dual opposition” to China’s photovoltaics , The export path of China’s photovoltaic manufacturing industry will be narrowed, and the pressure to expand domestic demand is huge. The National Energy Administration and other relevant units attach great importance to these situations, increase subsidies for China’s photovoltaic installations, and introduce photovoltaic grid-connected electricity prices, and vigorously promote the Golden Sun demonstration project. In the next few years, the installed scale of photovoltaic power generation in China will further expand.

3. The scale of nuclear power will continue to expand

Nuclear power is currently one of the few power generation technologies that have no intermittent problems in terms of new energy power generation technology, and is not affected by the natural environment and seasonal changes. With the development of China’s national economy, the demand for energy consumption will increase. When the current thermal power generation has reached its limit, the trend of developing nuclear power is unstoppable, and the enthusiasm of various places is very high. As China’s nuclear power technology matures, the scale of nuclear power will continue to expand.

4. Biomass power generation continues to be at a low speed

Biomass power generation is greatly affected by the seasonality, the economy is not high, and government subsidies are limited. At present, most of the domestic biomass power generation companies are in a state of capital preservation, and the enthusiasm for investing in new projects is not high. In the case that the dual problems of resources and subsidy funds have not been effectively resolved, biomass power generation may maintain a low-speed development in China.

5. Solar thermal power generation is slowly rising

Solar thermal power generation technology is a hotly discussed technology in recent years and has many advantages. Its industrial links are not as complicated as photovoltaics, energy consumption and environmental pollution in the manufacturing process are not as high as photovoltaic power generation, and maintenance costs are relatively low, which is a good development direction. With the start of the construction of domestic MW-level solar thermal power plants, it can be foreseen that solar thermal power generation will be a new trend in the future.
